Effective date: October 24, 2026
Neon Lighthouse LLC ("Neon Lighthouse," "we," "us," or "our") is a live band and live-band karaoke act based in Boston, Massachusetts. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit neonlighthouseband.com, contact us about an event, sign up to sing at one of our shows, respond to one of our ads, or buy merchandise, and how we use and protect it.
Information we collect
Information you give us
Event inquiries: when you fill out our inquiry form, whether on our website or in a form inside Facebook or Instagram, we collect what you enter. That's typically your name, email address, phone number, event date, venue or location, event type, guest count, budget, and any message you write.
Merchandise orders: your name, shipping and billing address, email address and order details. Payments are handled by our payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
Karaoke sign-ups: when you sign up to sing at one of our shows using our sign-up page, we collect the name or nickname you enter and your song choice. We use it only to run the show's queue.
Messages: anything you send us by email, text or social media.
Information collected automatically
Usage data: pages you visit, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, approximate location from your IP address, and the date and time of your visit.
Cookies and similar technologies: our website uses cookies, including the Meta Pixel. These help the site work, help us understand how visitors use it, and let us measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising. For example, they record when someone who saw one of our ads sends us an inquiry.
How we use your information
To respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes, and plan and perform at your event, including running karaoke sign-ups at shows.
To process and ship merchandise orders.
To send occasional updates about the band, if you've opted in (you can unsubscribe any time).
To measure and improve our website and advertising, including showing our ads to people likely to be interested and measuring which ads lead to inquiries.
To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the band and the website, and only as needed for them to do so:
Squarespace: website hosting and merchandise checkout.
Our booking and client-management software: stores inquiries and karaoke sign-ups and helps us manage events.
Payment processors (such as Stripe, PayPal or Square): merchandise payments.
Email and messaging providers: to communicate with you.
Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram): advertising and measurement through the Meta Pixel and lead forms.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
Advertising and your choices
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your activity on our site and other sites, and use it to measure our ads and show you relevant ads. You can control this in your Facebook or Instagram Ad Preferences, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or learn more at facebook.com/privacy/policies/cookies. Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals; our site does not currently respond to them.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and client information as long as we need it to respond, perform, and keep reasonable business and tax records, generally up to seven years for clients and two years for inquiries that don't book, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Order records are kept as required for tax and accounting.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you marketing emails, by writing to ken@neonlighthouseband.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we'll honor them.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmitting or storing data online is completely secure.
Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
