FAQS
-
Obviously! We’d love to meet you. Neon Lighthouse gigs out at Lansdowne, Capo, Nash Bar and more. We keep an active schedule and we always love to see you out at a show! Visit our shows page and request a guest list spot.

We MC the whole event — introductions, first dance, parent dances, parent remarks, best man, maid/matron of honor speeches, cake cutting, announcements, etc. You name it, we’ll manage it!
-
For most weddings, we have an acoustic soloist or duo for cocktail hour. During Dinner, the band plays easy listening music like Fleetwood Mac, Chris Stapleton, Sade and John Mayer. After speeches and the first dances, the party starts and we typically play for about 3 hours — that equals about 40-60 songs played live!
-
We offer multiple options for ceremonies and cocktail hours, including DJ/MC and acoustic solo or duo performances. Each ceremony and cocktail package comes with its own professional sound system, so the guests in the back row don't miss a thing.
-
Absolutely, we LOVE to learn new songs for weddings! We can guarantee at least one new song for wedding clients, just tell us what you’d like to hear! We usually perform first dances, parents dances or special requests for the last song of the night. If you have more, or if we can't add it to our song library for whatever reason, our DJ will play it during our set breaks. Literally NO song is off limits.

Every single member of Neon Lighthouse is integral to our sound so we do our best to make sure that every member performs at all of our events. Year round, we gig with the same line up at bars in the New England area, learning new songs and keeping our set list tight. Of course, we do have to account for family emergencies and things out of our control but in our band’s history, we’ve only had to bring in subs a handful of times.
When we do bring in subs, each member of Neon Lighthouse has 1 dedicated substitute who comes to our rehearsals and gigs with us at a few bar gigs over the year. We have hand selected them and trained them to give you the best experience possible even if we have to bring in a sub. We consider them to be members of our Neon Lighthouse extended family.

We ask that you send us all of your song requests prior to the wedding so that we can do what we do best, give you a nonstop killer dance party. We craft our set lists specifically so that we can move from one song to the next without interruptions, which gives your guests the best possible experience.
That being said, if a couple asks, and band can play it or the DJ can has it, we will! We will not take any song requests from guests.
-
Yes! We have a fun, collaborative planning process where we’ll help you curate the perfect soundtrack for your big day including prelude, processional, recessional, cocktail hour, introductions, first dance, parent dances, dinner music and more. Check out our blog for song suggestions!
-
The best part about having a band and DJ combo is that the music never stops. From guest arrival until the end of the night, we keep you engaged, dancing and singing along. With our combo, you get the high-energy of a band paired with the unlimited song list of a DJ!
-
We don’t need a stage but we do require a level hard surface to perform on. The ideal size for our set up is 12’ deep by 18’ wide but we can operate in any space size. If you prefer the aesthetic of a stage, that works for us too!
-
We can run our whole rig on 2 dedicated 110-volt (20 amp) circuits. For outdoor venues, we prefer a 6000w generator that’s situated no further than 20 feet from the performance area.
-
We travel with 6 vehicles since we typically have three A/V set ups (ceremony, cocktail, reception) and our instruments and amps. We do require hot meals for our team of 6. We typically arrive three hours ahead of guests and depart 90 minutes after the celebration is over — that’s a long day so a hot meal keeps us energized and happy!
Note: We ask that our crew is served at the same time as guests. Since guests want to dance after they eat, having the band fed at the same time means a better and more timely start to the dance party!
-
Chances are, yes. But if we haven’t, we call and introduce ourselves to every vendor and venue ahead of time so we can get aligned on space and electrical needs, and the event’s timeline and logistics.
